Gloria Kummer possesses over 20 years of comprehensive experience in the design industry. In 2015, she founded GHID, a boutique interior design firm that specializes in classical interior architecture and design, custom furnishings, and hand-drawn renderings. Gloria is certified through NCIDQ, the State of Utah.

As a distinguished interior design professional and expert project manager, Gloria is highly sought after for her exquisite artistry and meticulous attention to detail. As a former apprentice to the late master designer, Lance Turner, Gloria has taken her skill within classical proportioning, furnishing scaling, and methodically combining color, texture, and materials to new heights for clients in many different genres. A master designer herself, Gloria is now known for her extensive contributions to the interiors of globally renowned religious edifices.  She creates inspiring results by blending architectural details and unassuming elegance to capture the sacred nature of these celebrated structures.

Her other projects have included residential, hospitality, office, retail, branding, procurement, installation, and specification writing. Through these various projects, she has developed an extensive network of colleagues, suppliers, craftsmen, and consultants whose expertise she draws upon to augment the value she delivers to each and every client.

Gloria is recognized as an industry expert, serves on the board of directors of the Institute of Classical Architecture & Art (ICAA), and mentors aspiring designers for well over a decade. She is passionate about giving back by creating social initiatives to support individuals affected by debilitating illness or abuse.

Jan Cameron has been helping people create their dream environments for over 30 years. She spent 10 of those years designing for a high-end furniture store where furnishings and fabrics became her expertise. With time out for raising a family and now juggling the happy demands of nine active grandchildren, Jan is particularly attuned to the needs of the family environment. Jan has experience in all phases of the design process, from concept and space planning to final selections of furnishings and accessories. Although she has worked on large commercial projects, Jan’s greatest enjoyment is designing the perfect home environment for her individual clients. Born and raised in San Diego, educated at BYU, Jan has always been inspired and restored by the beauty of nature from the ocean to the mountains.

Melanie Hatch, design director, has been working in the design industry since 2008. She has worked on numerous projects within commercial interiors, hospitality, and religious facilities alike. Graduating from Utah State University with a bachelor’s degree in interior design in 2009, Melanie is certified through NCIDQ, the State of Utah, and is a member of ICAA. She has worked on numerous projects domestic and internationally, including religious buildings like the Rome Italy Temple, and the Tegucigalpa Honduras Temple, as well as working on design guideline projects for the Los Angeles and Stockholm Temples of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Melanie’s ability to look at a project holistically with attention to detail and problem solving has enabled her to be a well-respected professional. She has a passion for understanding her client’s needs and transforming the feel and design of a space to make it beautiful and lasting.

Meredith Cragun brings unique vision and special planning ability to Gloria Haley. Understanding that landscape design is something which can extend decades into the future, she is meticulous in her approach to ensure that her designs can be appreciated for years to come. Graduating from Utah State University with a Bachelor of Landscape Architecture in 2014, Meredith interned and performed contract work until 2015. As she looks to gain additional experience through completed projects at Gloria Haley Interior Design (GHID), Meredith is passionate about maintaining the quality of work standards expected of her and the reputation of her firm.

Eleena Speck aspired to be an interior designer since childhood. Born and raised in Park City, Utah, Eleena grew up with a deep love for nature, history, and architecture. Graduating from Brigham Young University – Idaho with a Bachelor of Arts in Interior Design in 2013, she now applies her knowledge of balance to her work at GHID where she joined in 2018. Eleena brings project experience ranging from multi-million-dollar residences and religious buildings to smaller interior projects or staging vignettes. Outside of work, Eleena spends as much time with her family. She is up for numerous outdoor activities, games, and a good cup of hot chocolate.

Alisha Soeken manages all financial and employee related elements including accounting and human resources at GHID. Alisha’s unique skillset enables her to maintain fiscal related initiatives while managing employee benefits, new hire enrollment, payroll structure, on boarding and training. Alicia’s interests outside of the office include following the talents of her father, unicycling; her mother, poetry; and, her grandfather, appreciation for interior design. Alisha has been a part of the team since 2016 and is grateful for the flexibility within her role as it allows her to raise her three daughters.
