Taking the ACT  is an important part of entrance into college and for consideration for most scholarships.  The Riverton Counseling Center wants to be a resource for you in this process.  Riverton High School offers free ACT preparation classes during the year.  You can sign up for these classes in the counseling center. Other free ACT prep resources have been posted at the bottom of this page.  If you are interested in these programs or if you need more information regarding the ACT, please come and see us in the counseling center.  Our district will continue providing a free ACT test for all juniors each March.

• Riverton High ACT Prep Classes after school:  We offer free ACT preparation courses for free after school.  Watch for this Google Form through email to sign up and follow this link for a schedule.
• The Learning Express Library: Students can create an account at this website if they have a Salt Lake County library card.  When you go to the link, select the “College Prep Center”. You will need to set up your account off of this page with your library card number.  Once the account is created, you will find practice ACT, SAT, AP, and PSAT materials. • Shmoop: Visit the Shmoop website to take practice tests, find weak spots, and drill the concepts:  This is completely free to all Utah students. To access go to: schools.shmoop.com  and enter the Magic Word  (FLATTOP)  – You will be directed to the Utah Schools page and will be able to set up an account.
